How to Reach Allahabad

Allahabad or Prayag being an important pilgrimage destination of the Hindus for the famous Kumbha Mela is well connected with all the major cities in Uttar Pradesh and India. The city has a well-developed transport network.

By Air

The Bamrauali Airport which is 15 kms away from the heart of the city of Allahabad is its domestic airport.Varanasi,another famous holy place of the Hindus,is the nearest airport.It is about 150 kilometers from Allahabad. Varanasi has good connectivity with the rest of India. There are daily flights operating from Varanasi to the rest of India.

By Trains:

Allahabad is conveniently linked with all major cities such as Calcutta, Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow and Mumbai. The city has one named the Allahabad Junction. Several expresses as well as super fast trains run on regular basis to and from Allahabad.

By Road:

Allahabad has good network of road. The National Highways 2 and 27, is connected to various parts of the country by virtue of healthy roads. Numerous Public and private transport ply to nearby and far-flung cities namely Varanasi, Lucknow, Kanpur, Patna, Jhansi and Gorakhpur.
