Lying on the extreme north-eastern border of Madhya Pradesh, Bandhavgarh National Park has North Indian Monsoonal climatic conditions marked by specific summer, monsoon and winter seasons.
Summer begins from end of March and stretches till the end of June. During this season, mercury shoots upto 44 degree celsius and sometime above 46 degree celsius. The advent of monsoon brings immense relief in the entire region with average rainfall of 1133mm. Rains are little moody here and arrive without any prior notice. Winters knock the door around mid November and lasts through the end of February with mercury going below 3 degree celsius characterized by chilly wind and morning frost .Because of southern cyclones, sudden downpour takes place between November and February.
