Kailash Fair Agra

Agra is immortal in the world tourism map because of the marble creation, Taj Mahal. The romantic city of the Mughals is home to various fairs and festivals marked by colorful display of talent and rich cultural heritage.

One such festival is the Kailash Fair. Held at Kailash, just 12kms from Agra, the festival is celebrated in the month of August and September.

The Kailash Fair in Agra is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is believed that Lord Shiva appeared in Kailash in the form of stone lingam and the devotees with their unshakable faith visit in large numbers to offer prayers and to rejoice in the colorful ambience of the fair. The temple and the path is colorfully ornamented. The entire scenario look spectacular with various tiny shops selling sweets, toys and buyers filling the ambience with exuberance.
