Taj Mahal

Agra Fort
The Fort was built in red sandstone during 1565-73 by Akbar on the relics of the Rajput and Suri forts on the western banks of YamunaThis magnificient structure is a delighful fusion of various architectural patterns and known for serving as a Royal residence and defence base.
Secundra Agra
10km N-West of the Taj, Secundra on the Delhi-Agra highway has the grave of Akbar. The graveyard has four gateways built of redstone having distinct architectural pattern. Just beyond the garden is a 4-storey mausoleum on the grave of Akbar. The 22.5 metre high edifice is almost a replica of Fatehpur Sikri.
Jama Masjid Agra
Near Agra Fort and on the way to the Kinari Bazar, Jami Masjid is one of the largest mosques in the country built during the reign of the famous Mughal emperor Akbar in 1571 A. D. Known for being one of the finest example of austere architecture, the masjid also popular for the tomb of the famous sufi religious leader Sheikh Salim Chisti. Another attraction is the Jammat Khana Hall and the Zenana Rauza or the tomb of the royal ladies located in the right the mosque.
Jehangir Mahal Agra
A pine-surrounded Tibetan refugee colony, Happy Valley is situated 3km to the west of the Library near Convent Hill. See the various Gumphas, Chortens. Prayer flags, buy curios from the Tibetan shops and enjoy Tibetan food memos and noodles.
Fatehpur Sikri Agra
The highest peak of Agra near Lal Tibba, Childer's Lodge is situated at 5 km from the Tourist Office. One can go on horse back or on foot. From here the snow clad Himalayan beauty can be captured through binoculars or telescope. Tourists Can walk, take a horse, rickshaw or taxi to reach there.
Itmad-Ud-Daulah's Tomb Agra
The word of Itmad-Ud-Daulah literally means a pillar of the government. Built in Pietradura style of architecture, the small maqbara embellished in intricate carvings was the first white marble edifice to be built by the Mughal emperors. Infact this structure acted as an inspiration for Shahjahan for building Taj Mahal and rightly known as 'baby Taj'.
Chini Ka Rauza Agra
Constructed in 1635, the Chini ka Rauza is the mausoleum of Shahjahan's poet chief minister Afzal Khan and his wife. The walls are awesome covered with colourful enamelled tiles in Persian style.
Rambagh Gardens Agra
The famous Mughal garden, 2km further north of Chini Ka Rauja-was built by Babur during 1526-30. It was known as Arambagh or Bagh-i-Gul Afshan in the past and served as a relaxing retreat for the emperor. This awesome garden captivates the heart of the tourists with its spectacular fountains, an island platform and stairway on one side of the water channel.
